About this privacy policy
This Privacy policy has been created to provide a clear and concise summary of how and when personal information is collected, stored and distributed. This policy discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for Optimum Consulting Group and all of our online platforms (including My Employee Life). Optimum Consulting has used the Australian Privacy Principles as laid out in the Privacy Act 1988 in creating its Privacy Policy.
Collection and use of Personal information
Optimum Consulting conducts online job advertising and recruitment services as well as online platforms for employee engagement (Services) and we need to ensure that we have all relevant personal information to be able to serve you and ensure that the environment we create is a secure and trusted one. We therefore collect a range of information to ensure we know who we are dealing with including information from candidates, referees and clients. This information includes your name and address, your telephone number(s), your email address and if you are a candidate for recruitment, your resume. You may also be requested to provide your credit card details. All transmission of personal information including your credit card details will be encrypted during on-line data transfer, by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
We collect personal information primarily to perform our Services. The information is collected when:
〈 if you are a candidate, upon your applying or registering with us, and when we collect information from others in connection with our Services, such as references, the results of any competency or medical test, or performance feedback;
〈 if you are a referee, when we are provided with your information from candidates and when we contact you in connection with that candidate;
〈 if you are a client, when you communicate with us or use our Services; and
〈 if you are an employee taking part in online employee engagement surveys, when you provide survey information.
Statistical information
When you visit any of Optimum Consulting’s sites our server logs information which is provided by your browser. This information is used to create summary statistics, which allow us to assess the number of visitors to the different sections of our site. As well as this it allows us to discover what information is most and least used, determine technical design specifications, and help us make our site more useful to visitors. The information logged is as follows:
• The date and time of your visit
• The address of the referring site
• The type of browser you are using
• Your top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc)
• Your server's IP address (a number which is unique to the machine through which you are connected to the Internet: usually one of your service provider's machines)

Optimum Consulting will make no attempt to identify users or their browsing activities, unless disclosure is required by law or due to a mandatory requirement of a Court, Governmental Agency or Regulatory Authority. Optimum Consulting communicates with its customers primarily using e-mail. This includes telling our customers about existing and forthcoming online offerings. We acknowledge and respect a user's choice to opt-out of marketing communications activities. Recruitment services
If you are a candidate for recruitment, we may disclose your personal information to third parties for the purposes of our recruitment services, including to actual and potential employers, referees and our contractors and suppliers – e.g. our I.T. contractors and database designers.
We will always seek your permission before we disclose any of your personal information held by us in connection with our recruitment services to potential employers or referees located overseas (such as in Singapore, Hong Kong and the United States of America).
If you are a referee we may disclose your personal information to prospective employers for the purposes of our recruitment services.
Our other Services
We may disclose your personal information to contractors and suppliers – e.g. our I.T. contractors and database designers for the purpose of providing services to us.
We may disclose your personal information to a data storage service provider located overseas (such as in the United States of America).
Access to review and change your information
Subject to some exceptions in under the Australian Privacy Principles, you may access and request correction to the personal information which we hold about you .

Please keep your Optimum Consulting login name and password safe. Please do not share a user account with someone else. Log out or close your browser once you have finished using any of Optimum Consulting sites. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence.
